What gets fixed

Computers, data and the small
business gear behind them.

Whether it is a family laptop that will not boot or a server rack that has become a fire risk, it is the same phone number and the same person on the job.

01

PC & laptop repairs

Machines that will not start, run hot, crash or crawl. Desktops, laptops and printers, diagnosed properly before anything is replaced.

02

Data recovery

Hard drives, SSDs, external drives and memory cards. If the photos, records or accounts are on there, stop using it and call first.

03

Virus & malware removal

Infections cleaned out, then the hole that let them in gets closed. Protection set up for computers, phones and tablets.

04

Backups & cloud file sharing

Business grade backup and file syncing that actually runs, so a dead drive is an inconvenience instead of a disaster.

05

Small business IT

Networks, servers, security and business printers for small business and home offices. Preventative maintenance, not just emergencies.

06

Remote support

Plenty of problems are solved the same hour, over the internet, without anybody driving anywhere. Available well beyond Toowoomba.

How it works

No mystery, no bench queue.

You call

Describe what it is doing. You will get a straight read on whether it sounds serious and what it will likely take.

On-site or remote

Chaim comes to you across Toowoomba and the Downs, or connects remotely, or the machine comes to the workroom at Newtown.

Diagnosis first

You are told what is wrong and what it costs before work starts, including when a repair is not worth your money.

Fixed and explained

The job gets done and you get told, in plain English, what happened and how to stop it happening again.

Who you are dealing with

Twenty five years in one town is its own reference.

Aspire Computing is not a shopfront with a rotating bench of casuals. It is one qualified technician who has been solving computer problems for Toowoomba families, farms and small businesses since 1999, and who is still doing it personally.

That means the person who answers the phone is the person who diagnoses the fault, does the work and explains it to you afterwards. Nothing gets lost in a handover, because there is no handover.

It also means honest answers. Some machines are worth repairing and some are not, and you will be told which one you have got before you spend anything.

I contacted Aspire to rebuild our whole rack in Toowoomba, it was an OH&S and fire risk. The staff can't believe the speed of the internet and server now. I will not be using anybody else but Aspire.

Where the van goes

On-site across Toowoomba and out through the Downs.

Based at Newtown, on-site work covers the whole of Toowoomba, from Highfields and Crows Nest in the north through Wilsonton, Harlaxton and North Toowoomba, across to Glenvale, Drayton and Cotswold Hills, and south through Harristown, Kearneys Spring, Middle Ridge, Centenary Heights and Darling Heights.

Further out, jobs regularly run to Oakey, Pittsworth, Warwick and the Lockyer Valley, plus the Southern Downs and Granite Belt. Anywhere else in Australia, remote support covers most of it without anyone leaving the office.

Straight answers

The questions everyone asks first.

How much do computer repairs cost in Toowoomba?

Most jobs are quoted after a short diagnostic, because the honest answer depends on what is actually wrong. A slow machine that needs a clean up and an SSD is a very different job to a failed hard drive with twenty years of photos on it. You get told what the job is and what it costs before any work starts, so there is no surprise at the end.

Do you come to me, or do I bring the computer in?

Both. On-site service is available across Toowoomba and out through the Darling Downs, Lockyer Valley, Crows Nest, Oakey, Pittsworth and Warwick. Plenty of jobs are also solved by remote support without anyone leaving the house. For workshop jobs you can drop the machine off at Newtown by arrangement.

Can you recover data from a dead hard drive?

Often, yes. Data recovery is handled for hard drives, solid state drives, external drives and memory cards. The most important thing is to stop using the device immediately, because continuing to run it can overwrite the data you are trying to save. Call before you try anything yourself.

Is it worth repairing an old computer or should I buy a new one?

It depends on the machine, and you will get a straight answer rather than a sales pitch. A five year old computer with a mechanical hard drive will often feel brand new after an SSD and a memory upgrade, for a fraction of the cost of a new machine. If it genuinely is not worth spending money on, you will be told that too.

Do you support small businesses as well as home users?

Yes. Small business and home office IT has been the core of the work since 1999, including networks, servers, backups, business grade file syncing, security and printers. Home users are looked after just the same, with the same one person handling the job from start to finish.

How quickly can you look at my computer?

Call on 0402 017 396 and you will get a realistic answer that day, not a queue number. Because it is one technician rather than a shopfront, jobs are booked in properly instead of being stacked on a bench, and you know who is working on your machine.
